Taty Frans signs up as official Fun Miles ambassador
None other than windsurfing icon Taty Frans signed up to represent Fun Miles as its official brand ambassador for Bonaire. In this capacity, the famous freestyle and slalom legend will promote Fun Miles and its partners, host raffles, give away prizes, and much more. Fun Miles is proud to have the charismatic Taty Frans on board and looks forward to bringing the community even more fun together.
Taty Frans: at the top for more than 20 years
Elton Evert Frans was given the nickname Taty by his aunt. Growing up two minutes from the Caribbean Sea, it was not surprising that he started to explore windsurfing. The rest is history. As a windsurfer, Taty Frans has represented Bonaire at the highest level for over 20 years, winning countless races and prestigious titles, such as FREESTYLE PWA Vice World Champion in 2006 and 2010, and Fastest Indoor Windsurfer in 2014.
An inspiring personality, also beyond the sport
In 2012, the award-winning movie Children of the Wind was made about Taty, his brother Tonky and his cousin Kiri Thode, both of whom are also international windsurfing legends. Taty and Tonky currently also run ‘Frans Paradise’, a new windsurfing school on Lac Bay. Fun Miles could not be happier, because Taty Frans is not only a world-class athlete, but also a very likeable and down-to-earth personality, who has the inspirational qualities needed to represent the brand.
